Dear World Travelers,
We’ve put together a truly magical trip-of-a-lifetime - all at the top of the world!
A mere six-hour flight from Minneapolis via Icelandair takes us to Iceland to see the sights of the geothermal-heated capital city of Reykjavík and two of its museums - the Maritime Museum and its unique open-air museum, Árbæjarsafn.
Next, take a short flight to the Faroe Islands with its idyllic villages. Stop at the historical center at Fjørukráin and visit to a Viking farmstead run by a family for the last 17 generations! We’ll see the Vestmanna Bird Cliffs by boat tour. This is a bird-watchers paradise as these cliffs rise up out of the Atlantic Sea capturing the attention of birds on their migratory journeys.
Back by flight to Iceland, we venture out to Snæfellsnes Peninsula with its rugged terrain, volcanic craters and lava caves. Sample cured shark and Brennivín Schnapps before a cruise on Breiðafjörður Bay. Explore Reykjanes Peninsula with a walk across Lief the Lucky’s bridge connecting the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. Get a good night’s rest before a 5-6 hour optional hike to the heated streams of Reykjadalur for a soothing plunge, followed by Icelandic horse show.
Fly to Greenland to marvel at active glaciers and enjoy a Midnight Sailing around the ice fjords. See UNESCO’s Sermermiut Inuit settlement before we return by flight to Iceland for one last taste - specifically of their world-famous cheese - skyr.
You won’t want to miss a single moment. Flights to Greenland and the Faroe Islands cannot be held in advance, so sign up now so we can confirm your space for this small group of 10 - 15 travelers.
